About Brain Care Consult
A South Sudanese NGO committed to mental health, protection, education and resilience.
Who We Are
Brain Care Consult (BCC) is a mission-driven national organization based in South Sudan, uniquely positioned as a professional consultancy institution operating within a non-governmental framework to deliver community-centered, evidence-based services. The organization was established in response to the urgent and growing mental health and psychosocial needs of conflict-affected and underserved populations, positioning mental well-being as the foundation for recovery, resilience, and sustainable development. BCC’s core operational area is Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), through which the organization delivers structured, culturally responsive interventions for communities affected by conflict, displacement, poverty, substance use, disability exclusion, and psychosocial distress. This focused approach ensures depth, quality, and measurable impact. Building on this foundation, BCC adopts an integrated model in which MHPSS serves as a gateway to broader support systems. Psychosocial interventions are linked to protection services for vulnerable populations, education and inclusion programming that promote safe and supportive learning environments, and livelihood and resilience initiatives that strengthen recovery and self-reliance. Research and evidence generation are embedded across all interventions to inform practice, strengthen accountability, and contribute to learning. The organization combines technical consultancy with community-based implementation, enabling it to deliver both direct services and institutional capacity strengthening for partners. This dual approach ensures that interventions remain professionally rigorous and locally grounded. BCC works collaboratively with individuals, families, schools, community structures, civil society organizations, government institutions, and development partners to design and implement integrated solutions that promote mental well-being, strengthen protection systems, enhance inclusive education, and support sustainable livelihoods.
“Empowered communities living with dignity, wellbeing, and hope”.
“To empower vulnerable communities in South Sudan to achieve wellbeing, protection, inclusion, learning, and resilience through integrated mental health and psychosocial support, protection, education, research, and systems strengthening.”
